How to retain weight - Learn from little children..
It seems it is so difficult to loose weight. We are reinventing complex diet bicycles, creating super plans, analysing, projecting various diet plans. But the best ideas as always are near us. They are in our children.
Little children are not spoiled by human life. Lets look how they balance calories and calorie flow having slim body at the same time. (I am not talking about obese children, and genetic ones, and due to careful parents stuffing them food, I am talking about children, whose parents let them have some independence, they are not guided every step in their little life..)
How do children cope with calories intake and burning?
- Children keep moving all the day. We all know how unstable and vivid are children. They keep running all the day. Let’s move more. Don’t go up with the lift, take stairs. Don’t go to your office on a car, let’s go on food etc.
- Children stop eating when they want. You have probably saw sometimes how little kid bites a cookie twice and throw it away. What do grown-ups do with a cookie they don’t want to eat but had a bite? - They finish eating all the cookie..
- Children sleeps fully and well. Of course their sleep is more of the type of interval sleep pattern. It is not long. After taking good rest children can burn calories more effectively.
- Children eat, when they want. A kid can keep snacking all day long, they don’t need to wait till lunch or dinner. The idea is as follows: when body keeps getting food all the time, it supposed the master has plenty of food, and he will not let the body to starve. So the body as intelligent system start not to gain calories for bad times not fats.
- Children do not eat for a pleasure. Children are not spoiled and taught about food as the source of pleasure. They eat for getting energy not for pleasure. Of course if you learn later that cookies are good and candies are very nice things, so they will start to use it for their pleasure. Children are taught and spoiled later in life to have joy not from activities, but from food…(look for more about hapiness)
