A lot of new exiting phenomenons are founded if we inverse natural cycle of some well known norms. Let’s try it in dieting sector:)
As we can find probably Japanese Sumo wrestlers know the best techniques to gain big fat and to gain it fast. This sport has old traditions and long tail of heritage,
being cultivated for such a long time (from ~700 B.C.) in Japan.
Here is our idea: - Want to drop fat? - Just learn what do Sumo Wrestlers do to gain weight, and do it negatively (or in inverse manner).
Sumo Wrestlers Diet
As Jim Foster and others editors of the blog Diet Blog advice, there is the list of gaining fat used by Sumo Wrestlers. so what they do?
1. They skip breakfast. By depriving their bodies of food after eight hours of sleep, their metabolism stays low.
I know a lot of people who are proud of skipping breakfast. They think it helps them to drop fat. But it seems eating seldom adds more fat!
2. Exercise on an empty stomach. If wrestlers bodies have no food, their metabolic thermostats are turned down even lower to conserve fuel. This way after exercise they eat a lot because of hunger, and body begins to strive to gather fat for a bad day. It thinks you are starving.
3. Take a nap after eating. The Sumo secret for gaining weight is that after eating they sleep for at least four hours. This way metabolism stops, and excess of calories are packed into fats.
4. Eat late in the day. Going to bed with full stomach means that wrestlers bodies must respond to the huge flood of nutrients with a rush of insulin, forcing their bodies to store some of it in the cells as fats instead of in the muscles and organs as nutrients.
5. Always eat with others in a social atmosphere. According to leading researchers, a meal eaten with others can be at least 44 percent larger and with 30 percent more calories and fat. This way you can stuff more:)
6. Eat a lot of high-carbs low-fat products such as rice, fish, veggies, and beer… (with highest glycemic index). This type of food is digested very quickly, and the excess of glucose in blood means - put excess into fats our cells don’t need so much. High GI products are digested more quickly than slow GI products. (more in the book The G.I. Diet )
Inverse Sumo Diet
So in reversed manner we would have 6 items of losing fat, or THE INVERSED SUMO Diet:
1. Eat more times a day. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snack, Supper). Increase your metabolic rate! Stay digesting.
2. Eat at least 1 hour before your exercise. (don’t eat just before, give stomach some time to digest without a rush).
3. Don’t sleep/take naps during the day. (keep your metabolism running all day). A lot of people like to take a sleep after good dinner!
4. Strive not to be hungry during the day, so snack a lot, but keep eating only low glycemic index food. (Exception: you can eat junk food too, but you must eat it VERY SLOWLY, because you strive to inject glucose slowly into your blood) This way you keep your metabolism all day. ( The G.I. Diet )
4. Eat not later than 1 hour before night sleep. (give time for your stomach to digest without rush- when you go asleep, stomach tries to digest everything quickly so blood sugar levels gets high, and excess is dropped into fat).
5. Don’t stay eating in a social atmosphere for more than 45 minutes. Or eat alone. This way you will not have enough time to eat too much. (Exception - you still can eat very slowly and be for a wider time-frame socialising)
6. Eat low carbs and low glycemic index products. Products with low GI are digested for long time (usually they have a lot of fiber). This way glucose levels stay normal in blood and don’t get high, so you feel full. The longer you digest the longer you are full.
Learn from Sumo wrestlers and give it a try for 1 month!
After 1 month your body will suddenly get it is cheated, so you will need another tactics to defeat Dieting Plateu.
